An eSIM is a SIM card built into the phone. Instead of inserting a plastic card, the traveller downloads a profile, either from a QR code or from a direct install link.
A travel eSIM is a data plan for a destination or a region: for example 10 GB for 30 days in Morocco, or 5 GB across 35 European countries. It sits next to the traveller’s main SIM, which keeps their phone number.
Why travellers like it
- No shop to find on arrival, no SIM tray to open.
- Installed before departure, active on landing.
- Local network prices instead of roaming charges.
- The main number stays reachable for calls and texts if the traveller wants it.
Data only
Most travel eSIMs, including ours, carry data only. Messaging apps, maps, ride-hailing and calls over apps all work. A classic phone number is not included.
Why it matters for businesses
Because it is delivered by email or in an app, a travel eSIM can be sold by anyone the traveller already trusts: the agency, the bank, the airline, the insurer. That is what our platform is for.
